sometimes all my files in secure directory were "erased" and my download get lost.

Someone can help me?

It's possible that this situation comes after backup, update, cron activities?

Can you elaborate on your setup? I'm pretty sure that this module can't delete files.

I'm monitoring the situation: at this moment seems to be all ok also after updating modules, cron execution and backup.

I think that the problem could be a core updating procedure with overwriting of sites/default/files folder...

I'll know when 6.20 will be released!

Actually, I think I know what's going on.

There was a bug in the older versions of this module such that when the files were being saved to the database they weren't being flagged to stay there indefinitely. I'd suggest running the dev version of the module until I release a new stable version (dev is actually more stable than the official recommended version right now).

Let me know if you still have the same problem when running dev.

For the upgrade... Do You suggest to remove the old module and re-install the new one?

I made the upgrade (in clean way by removing old 1.0 and reinstalling new dev version) but I found a lot of problem:

some browser ignore completely the module or strange behaviour appear.

Could be related to "chaching mode" activation?

Can you please elaborate on the issue you're having? Which browsers ignore the module? What is the strange behaviour that's appearing? I can't fix the problem without having more detail.

Ok, next monday I'll make a complete test in all conditions, using the new dev version.
In particular I'll make a comparing test with or without using cache system and other performance utilities.

closing this as I believe the issue with the files disappearing is now fixed. Will use #904068 for the browser issues.
