i am the beginner for drupal. i want to know how to practise with drupal.i am little bit confused while i seeing the drupal site. please explaining me. How to practise with drupal.

Read the handbooks, especially the first three sections - About Drupal, Installation and Configuration and Customizations and Theming.

Also check under the Support tab, some good reading there also.

I think it depends on if you are new to Drupal, or new to web developement - often it's both and I can see that being a steep learning curve.

I think if you are serious about building a decent website - go and buy a few books - about CSS, XHTML, PHP and of course Drupal.

Now, there is a Drupal demo over at http://opensourcecms.com you can play with that a bit, it's basic but at least you can see Drupal working.

Next step is download Drupal - I would suggest starting with version 4.7.3 - and install it on your computer, you will probably need to install Apache, MySQL and PHP first - thankfully that is dead easy with this http://www.apachefriends.org/en/xampp.html

Learning on your PC is a nice safe way to learn before you install Drupal in your hosting account (live on the internet) and it doesnt matter if you screw things up - just start over. After that you can go live to the internet - and by then you won't need to ask so many questions:)

If you have questions, search the forums and google first - most often someone has answered your question already.

i have knowledge of html, css and develop few websites in asp.net but i want to use druple.
