Hi,
I have just installed PC 1.4 and configured permissions for a role.
When I am connected with this role, I can't view the unpublished nodes: access delied.
I don't know why.
Thanks for help.

brulain commentedMore informations:
- An anonymous user can create a content A.
- When created, this content A has the status 'unpublished'.
- A specific role (editor) has following permissions: 'publish any A content' and 'unpublish any A content'.
- But when a content A is created, the specific role (editor) can't access to publish it: 'access denied' !
Every roles have 'access content' permission.
To fix it, I use View Unpublished module ; I thought Publish Content module does this work...
Any idea ?
Thanks a lot.

DruKaz commentedthe 'publish own (contenttype)' seems to work, but the 'publish any (contenttype)' doesn't, so they can access unpublished nodes they made themselfs, but not those of others. the' unpublish any (contenttype)' however does work.

aaronbaumanYes, I believe this is due to update 6001 failing.
Please see the proposed solution in #887470: Permissions until I have a chance to address this bug.

Daugilas commentedI had the same problem.
I also checked other issues linked from here, but they seem to be slightly different cases. And this one is the first thing you encounter after installing the module for the first time.
Also brulain provided really good solution: to use view_unpublished module. With it everything works perfectly!
I'd consider merging these two modules into one.
