Can't find updates for modules that need updating

Hi, I must say, first off, "where has this module been all my life?" I love it, and it worked, mostly.

But although it updated 6 of my modules, there are still several that need security updates, but admin/plugin_manager/update says "There are no available updates for your drupal installation."

Any help appreciated. This module is going to make my life so much easier.
