I'm glad to see the new features added into 2.x branch.

I was wondering if you would accept to use machine_names instead of numeric ids to allow to export settings via features, maybe using CTools.

QuickTabs includes this change in its 3.x branch, and here is the issue to see how it works. #572880: Quicktools exportables

Yes sounds like a plan.
Already reworking the lots so better to do it now then afterwards.
