I just realized I never submitted an issue for this. I've been working on making a handbook aimed at new users (users in the sense of Drupal users setting up a site, not end users). Right now, it lives on my site because I'm constantly shuffling things around. The goal is to get it onto drupal.org once it passes muster. If you're a new Drupal user, or anyone else that has an opinion, reply to this issue with your thoughts and suggestions. I'm especially interested in things in the existing documentation that you stumbled over as it's been 1.5 years since I started and I don't remember all the problems I had.
You can find the in progress documentation here: http://shellmultimedia.com/drupal-documentation

sillygwailohttp://support.bryght.com/adminguide/new-site-checklist is new 'admin' user documentation we wrote (which has links to the other documentation we have). It could use an update to 4.7, which I'm working on in the background, but iit's current to the version we have on the hosted service (4.6). We also have a glossary of Drupal-related terms at http://support.bryght.com/glossary The license of the documentation is the same as that for Drupal.org, i.e. Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 2.0, so feel free to incorporate it into your 'getting started' documentation.

add1sun commentedThis is some oooold stuff and the docs have changed a bit since then. now that we have the getting started guide and the redesign happening, I'm inclined to close this issue.
