Two problems really.

1. Update Module updates on every admin page load erducing it to a crawl. I have disabled this to improve the situation.

2. I can run cron manually and it reports it has run successfully, however, on the Report Page I get the following:

"Cron has not run recently", and "Last run 1 week 5 days ago" which just keeps on increasing.

It seams the cron_last variable is not being updated.

Anyone got any ideas.

The problem seems to be related to internationalization. On my bilingual site (English default + German) the German page shows the correct values, the (default) English page loads much slower and displays the wrong values.

Strange. I'll try downgrading i18n...

Following #908462: After upgrade to 1.7, admin functions slowed to a crawl I've updated i18n to the current dev version and then pressed the "Variables cleanup" button on /admin/settings/language/i18n/variables .

Now the cron-last-run value is correct, performance settings work again, and the admin pages are much much faster...

I cannot find this button 'Variables cleanup'. My site has 4 languages, and beside the tabs 'List', 'Add languge', 'Configure' and 'Multilingual system' no other node is shown.
Can somebody help me?

I upgraded to Internationalization 6.x-1.7 and got the problems with status report mentioned above. Unfortunately I don not have the downgrade version 1.6

You do not have to downgrade to older version.

I did it with development version and it works great.
It is fixing this issue, make web site load much faster
and resolve some other abnormalities.

Thanks a lot for Your help.
The way OnlineSuccess proposed works fine, I installed the development version. After installation I found the node /admin/settings/language/i18n/variables and I used the Button "Variables cleanup".
Now the site is running faster and the semaphore "CRON" is updated in correct way when calling the status report. :) :).

I have completely solved both of these problems by reverting to i18n v1.6!!!

Great, efficient help & worked well - I chose the dev. version of the module.
