Let configurate what contact form add the new field or not

Would this new feature be compatible with the Contact Forms module (http://drupal.org/project/contact_forms), or will it generate it's own forms per category?

I believe both are different things.
The contact forms lets you eliminate choosing the category drop box. Having different forms for different categories will make a user confuse.
But that's what I think. I would integrate that feature too.

Well sometimes depending on the category some fields would have to be different.

Support would maybe have a couple of select boxes for certain areas of which the user needs support with, or human resources could ask for more information like references or something with different fields. Both of this completely different than the regular General Contact form.

Contact Forms does a great job giving each category it's own path, it would be even greater that Contact Form Fields could assign different fields to each one.

Maybe it's asking too much, I understand the initial scope of this project is simple and this may be heading towards some kind of heavy rework. But it would make it a very nice thing to have.

Anyways those are my two cents. Keep up the great work

Thanks a lot for your interest, concern and using the module. I'd love to make the module such a usable that all the modules related to contact form can be intergreated with this module.
I thought deeply about having assigned different fields to different contact forms just like in real life, we have different fields in forms while taking an insurance!

This is not going to implement quickly, but first I'd like to implement all the features that are promised on the project page.
