There is really no need for FTP address?

Why is there a need for entry of a FTP address? If you are installing on a machine and have sufficent rights already to the directory, then why require FTP access for installing a module?

If the current running user of PHP already has file access, it should not ask for FTP access, but rather do the installation directly. This is how e.g. WordPress do it.
