Rearrange fields

I don't know if this is just me, or if it is a bug. After creating a new content type, and adding some basic fields, I wanted to rearrange the fields. If I go in to add a new node, the fields are in the correct order, but if I view the new node, the fields are in the original order. Is anyone else experiencing issues like this?
