Haven't used Feeds in a while and did a fresh install and I couldn't find mention of the need to also install Jobs Scheduler and the need for the Data module wasn't clear.

Saw previous closed issues related to this and added to the release notes for older betas, but not yet in the readme.

Would suggest adding to the "Requirements" section of readme.txt as follows:


Requirements
============

- Data
  http://drupal.org/project/Data
  If you wish to use the "Feeds Fast News"

- Job Scheduler
  http://drupal.org/project/job_scheduler

Job scheduler is mentioned in the readme as a dependency and the project page change was done after this was reported in #2859236: Add Ctools and Job_scheduler as dependencies.
