CSS and Mac computer

Ashford - November 8, 2006 - 23:23

I have a User who says she doesn't see the columns. Needless to say, she finds it impossible to use the site without the navigation menus aligned properly. She is using a Mac to view the site and I am using the CivicSpace stylesheet.

What can I do to help her? Or, what does she need to do?

One person suggested to her to update her JAVA program. Would that cause such a problem?

what browser and version is

Of course. I should know by now to include the URL in any troubleshooting request.

It is most likely a CSS

It is most likely a CSS error, what browser is she using? if ie 5.0, ask her to upgrade to firefox or safari :)

yes, just some css is

yes, just some css is probably the issue, site looks fine in Safari and Firefox for Mac, need to know her browser, seems like an odd problem to not see a column at all, I assume she means the left column is just not displaying at all?

You say plural 'columns', but I only see a two column site? Sorry to be pedantic but this is not clear to me - is it supposed to be 3 column - or is she seeing nothing at all?

Solved the CSS and Mac computer problem

The User was not able to answer troubleshooting questions because the Internet terminology was like a foreign language to her. I recently solved the dilemma by switching from the civicspace theme to box_cleanslate. She now sees the same screen the rest of us do.

Besides changing what she sees, I changed her mind. She went from "I like things on paper" to "Wow. Look what we can do now."

Thank you, everyone for your questions and answers. I appreciate your time spent reading and writing.
