Scott J commentedI'm using the media_gallery version from DrupalGardens, and it seems to be mostly working on D7 beta 1.
Are you using that, or the version in CVS?
Jackinloadup commentedI am using the CVS version.
If its working in that case there must me changed not submitted back yet?
Scott J commentedYes,
I think that the Acquia team are concentrating on getting DrupalGardens fully functional, and waiting for D7 to stabilise, before committing back to Drupal.org They've done an amazing job keeping everything working on D7 dev versions.
The media_gallery version on Gardens now supports YouTube video as well as images. I could just attach it as a zipped-up file, but I'm not sure if that would be frowned on? And I'm not sure how reliant it is on all the other module versions, so it may not help.

TechDragon commentedWhile I'm not surprised they haven't been focused on backporting to the publicly released modules.
It would still be good to get a more current release.
The entire media module seems to have stagnated & as a developer trying to get my media focused site over to drupal 7 because of the promise of better media support, its rather frustrating to see nothing for months.
I was expecting major modules like media to have updates after 7 hit beta. If its going to be months before we see more code, it might be worth mentioning on these modules pages so developers know they will need to wait.

JacobSingh commentedHey folks,
I'm working on getting a release of media_gallery out this week. Can people please re-confirm with BETA-2 if they are still having issues?
Thanks,
Jacob
Comment #6
JacobSingh commentedSorry, that's Core BETA-2 and the media_gallery HEAD.
Scott J commentedmedia_gallery 7.x-1.0-beta1 seems to be working perfectly on Drupal 7.0-beta3.
bjalford commentedScott J: Did you get the error messages here: http://drupal.org/node/972376 when enabling the module?
JacobSingh commentedhah, well test with beta-2, I'm not working w/ beta 3 yet.
Scott J commentedbjalford,
Yes, so I do!
I thought that it was from another module, but now that I try it again, maybe it is from media_gallery.
