Hi,

After I've upgraded from FeedAPI to Feeds I'm a little bit lost using this module.
I have several different feeds (Blip.tv Feed, Youtube Feed...) which I all want to create a specific node type (video). However, in order to be able to filter these in views I need to assign a taxonomy to them in order to be able to separate them from another. As far as I can see it's not possible to map a static value to the node-type...

I don't know if this is the best way to do it, but maybe you have some better ideas? As long as I get several feeds to update one particular node-type (so I don't have to create unnecessary many of them) and manage to separate them in views, I would be happy. :)

Another, very important difference I noticed between FeedAPI and Feeds is that the mapping is very general and not actually connected to a node itself. This way I can't map non-standard elements from the RSS to the node-fields... This is a huge drawback in my opinion..

Subscribing. I just want to know how it is possible to pass a characteristic of the feed on to all of its feed items. IE a taxonomy field, a nodereference field... whatever it is that you want to include in the feed, and also then include that in all of its feed items, and pass the value from the feed to its items.

I am using Regex in Pipes to add category terms to feed items, using the Pipes RSS for the fee,d and then mapping the category to CCK fields with the node reference mapper. Looking forward to the Feeds Regex parser getting usable.

Subscribing. I'm having the same issue. Did anybody find a usable workaround? Maybe we're looking at it form the wrong POV, I don't know. :|
