I'm a newb to Drupal and the level of sophisticated programming at the module level. I am posting this request for support upon recommendation of a reply to my initial inquiry posted in forums: http://drupal.org/node/965760 I followed the suggestion of halstead and am still experiencing the same error cited in the title.
All dependent modules are installed and enabled. I have started a gallery and placed 1 image in it. Still receiving the same warning.
This is a summary of module versions and what is enabled in the modules page:

I'm afraid I don't understand enough about Devel to use it and report back what it may track.
I hope what I have supplied helps somewhat and can be resolved soon. I am hoping to incorporate image galleries in a project due by the end of the week.

salvisI would recommend using the -dev version. It has quite a few bugs fixed over RC2. There was even supposed to be an RC3 back in July, but apparently this wasn't published.
If the issue persists, then please look inside your {variable} table and tell me what's in the 'image_gallery_access_rids' variable.
(Don't assign yourself unless you intend to create a patch for this issue.)

salvisThere was no follow-up, so this remained pending.
I have now added a check that should avoid this issue. Committed to version 1.0.
