Has anyone developed a LETS (a.k.a. LETSystems, Local Employment and Trading System, Local Energy Transfer Systems) on Drupal? I was surprised that there was not already a module, but it seems possible to just use content types and views.

Haven't given it deep thought, but I suppose a content type for the participants, one for transactions, and a few views to provide reports would do it. Any advice?

FYI, a LETS is similar to a barter exchange where people would trade goods and services for credits in the system. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/LETS

Funny, but I found it by searching joomla.org . Hope you don't think I'm a traitor.

I've been using Classified Ads, but we use no currency...

Hi David, there was one, called Marketplace, although I think it has been abandoned. I installed it on my site 2/3 years ago to see what kind of interest it would attract. Not very much as it turned out, and I did not have the capacity at the time to do any 'real world' LETS development. It is still installed here, but I am planning to take it down pretty soon:

I am now involved in ManchesterLETS.Org, which uses php/mysql based software, but has not been adapted to Drupal. My php skills are very low, so have not really looked at the code for this software. Rob

I see the same guy, Mathew Slater, is behind Community Accounting, as was behind Marketplace. Maybe the later is built upon Marketplace? R

Community Accounting, AKA Mutual Credit, is the replacement for Marketplace, and the only LETS module I'm aware of for Drupal, It appears to be under active development, and is in use by many sites, including ones that provide complementary currency sites for subscribing groups.
