Hello,

Could s.o. explain to me how to upload each page of the flip book, and what am I supposed to enter in the cover field please?

I cannot see any "Upload" buttons, so do I need to upload the images (i.e. pages) via FTP, and enter the name in the item field ("Opening pages")?

Hello,

I have finally managed to use this Page Flip Book.

Basically, I need to create each page as a Page Flip, in order that I can type in their names in the “Add another item” field set in the Page Flip Book itself.

It didn't sound obvious to me!

The PageFlip Module creates new content-types for Cover / Sites for a "Book" - i tried the module a few month ago - in this version you had to import the Content-Types "manually".

01) Create a new Book >ContentType - PageFlip Book
02) Create a new Chapter in this book > ContentType - PageFlip Chapter
03) Create a page in this chapter > ContentType - PageFlip Page

How did you install the module ? Do you have all the Content Types ?

Hello, I didn't install the module. Another developer did it for the company whom I'm working for at the moment. However, the installation looks quite straightforward according to what I've read today.

Yes, I have :

1) PageFlip Book: pageflip_book A comic book, magazine, or other type of book. edit manage fields
2) PageFlip Chapter: pageflip_chapter A chapter in a PageFlip Book. edit manage fields
3)PageFlip Page: pageflip_page A page in a PageFlip Chapter.

It took me a while to figure out how to operate the whole thing. Basically, I want a brochure to be as a PageFlip Book. So, I finally understood that I have to create a PageFlip page first of all the content of my brochure.

To be able to see the fields inside the "Cover" field set, you have to have these PageFlip Pages created first.

Then, when you create a PageFlip Book, you can see upload a cover image, and there are as well all the names inside the "Cover" field set appearing.

So, in "Opening Pages" section, you can type in the name of your image in there. And then, when you visualize your FlipBook, it all comes together.

The only problem I have now, is the size of my pages. They are showing too big in the page, so I can't see them fully.

There is a size of 1080 X 720. But uploading an image with 1080px, and the other with 720px height, I cannot see the changes. It's still showing too big.

Hello,

I have managed to find where to modify the dimension of the book:
admin/settings/pageflip/megazine3, and then Book tags attributes.

But somehow, my images that are at the same size than the pages, do not scale properly. The images look a bit squashed.

And I'm not sure how to make it work properly then.

I even removed the Image field, and re-created them in PageFlip Page.

And still, it's not showing exactly what I want.

Any idea please?

Is it that the Pageflip page can just contain images?

The flipping effect works well but only with the images .Can we create a flip book of content type Basic Page?

Yes, we can create a flip book of content type basic page. You can use flip book software. This software allows you to turn your photos to flipping online magazines, e-books, e-newspaper, online catalogs, and other publications for online sharing.
Search flip book software in Google, you'll find many similar tools.
I have used kvisoft flip book maker, It is my dish.

We (the MegaZine3 team) just found out that kvisoft as well as xflip are making use of our software without a license or reseller agreement in place.

We are in contact with the manager of kvisoft to sort out this "issues" and hopefully will find a pragmatic and cooperative solution.
If you want to be on the safe side, you should check with us for a license.
We just recently started to learn about Drupal and hopefully we'll be in a position to give support for Drupal-MegaZine3 related issues soon.
