Is there a way to have the revision author (and not the node author) in the views of type "revision" in order to obtain somthing similar to the standard "revisions tab" where you have the list of revisions with their authors ("by XXX").

Step 1: Create your view

Step 2: Add the relationship "Node Revision: User"

Step 3: Add arguments, filters, or fields...and wherever you choose "User: name" you can also choose "Use relationship" and choose the relationship you created in step 2. This should work for any user arguments, filters, or fields you choose.

The Revisioning module gives you a whole bunch more options in Views related to revisions.

o Node: Last edited by (the name of the user who last edited this content)
o Node: Revision moderation (whether the node is subject to moderation)
o Node: State (pending, current or archived)
o Node: Number of revisions
o Node revision: State (similar to Node: State, but for individual revisions).
o Node revision: Latest (whether the revision is the most recent)
