MySQL optimization expert needed for several hours work

I need a MySQL expert to optimize our Drupal 6 database. We've been getting large slowdowns and even crashes. You should be familiar with analyzing the slow query log, tuning parameters, and when and when not to add indexes. The site is http://drupal.org/node/654342.

I'm looking for a freelancer available on an hourly basis. The work can expand to other speed-ups over time, but I need my current MySQL unreliability issues fixed ASAP. I'll give you root access to the server, which is running MySQL 5 on Debian Lenny.
