I find it hard to believe that there isn't a WYSIWYG installed on DO. I'm guessing there is a reason and I've missed it. I did a quick search and didn't see an issue requesting the feature, only a few issues requesting comparisons of WYSIWYG options. Is there a reason not to push forward and get something installed asap?

It the objective is to get more people to contribute, it should be made as easy as possible and not one should have to hand code lists.

If any editor is installed on d.org, it will most likely be bueditor.

Here's the issue about it #424400: Use BUEditor on drupal.org

Title: WYSIWYG for D.O books? » WYSIWYG for D.O
Project: Documentation » Drupal.org infrastructure
Component: Other documentation issues » Other

This should be in the infra queue - if someone's going to bother setting it up, it'll be sitewide. (moving)
