Autovar allows Drupal to automatically update variables in the {variable} table based on the current HTTP host.
This functionality is designed to help developers deploy their Drupal code from development/staging to demo/live.
The Autovar project was created by Fintan Darragh who was a very active member of the UK Drupal Community. Sadly Fintan passed away in May 2009, a talented developer and a generous and kind person, Fintan will be missed by everyone fortunate enough to have met him.
As the current maintainer of this project I will be continuing Fintan's work and releasing a version of the module very soon.
