#D8CX: I pledge that Better Revisions will have a full Drupal 8 release on the day that Drupal 8 is released.

The purpose of this lightweight module is to improve upon the Drupal revision system and make it work for your team. It swaps out the text area for a customizable select list of different types of, or reasons for, revisions.

The built-in Drupal revisions system may be a little confusing to some users and intimidating to others. It's just an open text area where you have to explain yourself.

Hey, every team is different and has different needs, that's what Better Revisions is all about. You create the list of revision types (a couple of sensible default types are there to get you started). You can even specify the title and help text for the select list. But wait, there's more. That text area that the built-in revision provides can be pretty handy. This module also allows you to include a text area in addition to the select list and puts them together into one handy revision log message.

Installation and usage

Simply enable Better Revisions.
Edit the configuration options at admin > config > content > better_revisions and you're all set. You will see your better revision widget on any content type that you've enabled revisions for.
