The Future
Due to improvements in Features I am abandoning this module in favor of the solution that is a) much closer to what I was hoping for, b) has a tremendous amount of community support. As a result, please migrate all use of this module to use Features instead. The code will be left in CVS for educational value & comedic factor.
Old description
A current limitation with the existing tools for exporting & loading content types is that they don't leverage the existing functionality within Drupal. This module first provides a simple way to export content types based upon the Content_Copy module from CCK and then a tiny secondary module for filling in missing gaps in Drupal's core hooks for loading the content type. While CCK fields are supported, the goal is to make CCK itself optional.
