This module follows the Display Builder 1.0.x-dev branch and may break at any time when used with a different version.

Overview

Display Builder Dev Tools is a companion module for local development and debugging.
It is not intended for production use. It exposes destructive bulk operations and raw internal state that would be inappropriate on a live site.

Admin actions

  • Import / export instance sources: serialize a display_builder_instance source tree to YAML and restore it, useful for sharing or reproducing layouts across environments
  • Delete instances: remove instances that are not managed by config (i.e. standalone runtime instances)
  • Delete history: wipe all undo/redo revisions across every instance to free storage during heavy iteration
  • Delete all presets: bulk-remove every saved preset

Debug API endpoints

Adds three read-only JSON endpoints on any instance for inspecting internal state:

  • /admin/structure/display-builder/instance/{id}/state: current resolved source tree
  • /admin/structure/display-builder/instance/{id}/index: the path index cache
  • /admin/structure/display-builder/instance/{id}/structure: normalized flat structure maps
