Distributions provide site features and functions for a specific type of site as a single download containing Drupal core, contributed modules, themes, and pre-defined configuration. They make it possible to quickly set up a complex, use-specific site in fewer steps than if installing and configuring elements individually.

At GoSpringboard.com, you can:
Source
The source code is available on GitHub. Get the Build file for use with Drush Make. Running drush make on this file will download the Springboard installation profile and required modules. You may also opt to get these pieces separately:
Filmfolio
Filmfolio is an installation profile for filmmakers, photography studios and production companies who are looking for an easy off-the-shelf solution for photo and video portfolio sites.
Filmfolio is very lightweight and uses:
- CCK
- FileField
- Nodereference URL
- ImageField
- ImageCache
- MediaElement.js
- Views
- Views Attach
For large uploads, Filmfolio utilizes FileField Sources and requires FTP/SFTP/SSH access.
Discursive
Enables cataloging of footnotes and multimedia resources from a book or other document.
See the writeup about the project that spawned this distribution.
Discursive will eventually be hosted here, on Drupal.org. Some components are still missing from Drupal.org's package manager to properly build Discursive here. For further details: Install Profile Packaging.
For now, you will need to check out the code on the 7.x-1.x branch via git, run the rebuild script (which requires drush and drush make) and move discursive into the /profiles/ directory of a fresh Drupal 7 installation.

VideoKit
Video Kit 1.x for Drupal 7.x
----------------------------
Get started building with Video module fast.
Requirements
------------
In addition to the standard Drupal requirements you will need the following to
make use of Build Kit:
- drush 3.1 - http://drupal.org/project/drush
- drush make 2.0 beta 9 - http://drupal.org/project/drush_make
- git - http://git-scm.com
Getting started
---------------
Video Kit for 7.x requies several patches to be applied to Drupal core. It
provides a `distro.make` file for building a full Drupal distro including core
patches as well as a copy of the `videokit` install profile.
1. Grab the `distro.make` file from Video Kit and run:
$ drush make distro.make [directory]
or use its url on Drupal.org directly:
$ drush make "http://drupalcode.org/project/videokit.git/blob_plain/refs/heads/7.x-1.x:/distro.make" [directory]
If above failed then you can try.env GIT_SSL_NO_VERIFY=true drush make xxx ...
2. Choose the "Video Kit" install profile when installing Drupal

Media derivatives development profile
This is a profile for developers, that want to develop for Media derivatives API.
There is also a drush make file available, that will download all needed code-base for you.
App store
This distribution will generate a "Drupal Commerce" store, an app store. The store allows browsing applications, purchasing them (or getting them for free of course), install them remotely and manage several accounts (websites). In the future we envision many app stores which serve many Drupal websites, distributions and other apps.
For using the app store as a client site or distribution install this App store client module.
This module is based on the work described here: http://groups.drupal.org/node/175329
Core development
This is the profile i use for core development. Like minimal but adds two node types and simpletest. Takes 18% more time than minimal. Standard is double of minimal so that's not an option.
Time Machine
Time Machine is an installation profile for communities and organizations looking for turnkey time banking software for their members and participating businesses.
For discussion about this project as well as time banking in general, consider joining the Time Banking group at http://groups.drupal.org/time-banking
Open Commerce
Open Commerce is a Drupal distribution that helps you build a full featured e-commerce site based on Drupal 7 and Drupal Commerce.
Installation files and demo will be available very soon.
Open Parish
This installation profile was created in 2011 to help (primarily) Roman Catholic Parishes in the U.S. provision a website quickly, using sensible defaults and Drupal/web/SEO best practices. The profile provided a baseline website that parishes could use or emulate in building their own online presences.
Current Status
This installation profile has been deprecated in favor of the OpenChurch Drupal distribution. Individual projects that are part of the Open Parish Initiative will still be maintained separately, and efforts will be made to make an easy onramp specifically for Catholic parishes into the OpenChurch distribution. See: #1380850: See if collaboration with 'OpenChurch' is possible?.
Development and progress will happen both here and at http://www.opensourcecatholic.com/project/open-parish
Project module installation profile
Overview
This sets up the Project* modules for the Drupal.org use case.
Installation instructions
Clone the '7.x-1.x' branch of this project using the instructions found in the 'version control' tab above, and then use the drush make build-projectinstall.make --prepare-install --working-copy d7project command to download Drupal 7 core and all the modules needed for this installation profile into a folder called 'd7project' inside your current working directory.
Prerequisites: If you are not using Drush v5.0+, you will need to download the Drush Make library and put it in ~/.drush/.
If the direct link to the make file starts working then the below command will work:
drush make http://drupalcode.org/project/projectinstall.git/blob_plain/refs/heads/7... --prepare-install --working-copy d7project

Jumpstart
"JUMPSTART" is an installation profile designed to get a site up and running quickly. It creates a Drupal7 site, enables some of the most usefull core and contributed modules while it does not enable some core modules that are enabled on the "standart" installation profile.
It helps for rapid-development, creating sandboxes and of course for every day drupal usage since it saves you some time (eg: it auto enables views).
Contrary to most Installation Profiles, Jumpstart is version agnostic.
This means that it can be used against any version of D7. This is true for
the modules too. The reason that Jumpstart is version agnostic is simple:
By itself it doesn't do much, it simply enables a set of common modules.
NOTE: drupal.org demands a version on each project that is being packaged. So an experienced user might prefer using the profile-only package instead of the one including core.
At the moment Jumpstart enables the following modules (and dependencies):
Views_UI
Transliteration
Admin_menu
Token
Backup_migrate
Colorbox (the .make file also fetches the script)
It doesn't enable comments, toolbar, overlay and several other core modules.
This shouldn't tamper with the users experience in any way though.
NodeStream example profile
This is an example installation profile that uses NodeStream as a base. It can be used as a template when creating new installation profiles on top of NodeStream.
