This project is not covered by Drupal’s security advisory policy.

The ec_ccnow.module allows sites using the Drupal eCommerce API modules to accept payments via CCNOW. Basic installation instructions are included with the readme.txt file.

Development of the ec_ccnow.module was sponsored by m3m and undertaken by Dublin Drupaller.

Notes

  • This module was developed for a client who was already using CCNOW as their preferred payment processor.
  • If you're checking out various payment processing options for Drupal eCommerce API, please note that CCNOW requires a lot of extra setting up to do on the CCNOW server.
  • Products must be registered in your CCNOW control panel prior to use and the ccnow.module uses the SKU field on product nodes when passing an order across to the CCNOW payment engine, so your product #IDs (on CCNOW.COM) must match the product SKUs on your Drupal shop.
  • CCNOW.COM only accepts payments for tangible (shippable) items so this paymentr option is not suitable for downloadable products. Click through to the CCNOW website for a full list of prohibited products
  • Drupal shops selling music cds/dvds, CCNOW offers soundscan reporting (i.e. your USA sales count towards the music/dvd charts in the USA)
  • CCNOW provides a refund facility within your CCNOW control panel for refunding customers
  • At the time of writing this, CCNOW does not offer an IPN service (Instant Payment Notification - a common feature of payment engines where they automatically ping your site when someone has paid) so you have to manually update orders when you receive the order email from CCNOW confirming payment.
  • If you have any ideas or suggestions for the module, please get in touch with Dublin Drupaller.
