Not a fork: This module is quite different to Picasa.module because:
1. CURL based, nothing about fsockopen,
2. Authenticates to picasaweb.google.com as application, does not needs "AJAX API key".
3. Displays album photos into a tab,
4. Integrates whole site with given Picasa Account, using it as a placeholder for albums and photos, does not let normal users to associate or grant site for uploading photos.
