Designed to be used in combination with sites that heavily use Calendaring for events. This module allows you to create automated announcements for Node Types that have CCK Date fields. The announcements go out a configurable number of days in advance. The email subject and body are tokenized, so you can create complex templates based on the nodes you are sending announcements about.

Node Announce operates on node types that have Date fields, so it makes little sense without that.
Optional Modules
- Notification Content (part of Notifications module) - gives you [body] and [body-raw] tokens (D6 only, Token in D7 gives you this)
- HTML Mail - lets you send HTML email
- Entity & Entity Token - provides date tokens for D7
If any of these modules are installed additional features will be available to Node Announce. The default Token module doesn't have any body or teaser tokens, however they exist in Notifications.
Known Limitations
- Does not support date recurrences
