This module adds the feature of hierarchical nesting to galleries created with Node Gallery from module version 3.0 upwards.
The basic functionality is there, but the module is still in heavy development.
What is currently working:
- a widget on gallery creation and editing to choose a parent gallery
- the overview and gallery views show resp. hide the subgalleries
- the breadcrumb is hierarchical
- a page on /admin/content/node_gallery_hierarchy to reorder the hierarchy just like menus or taxonomy terms
- a navigational block to show the gallery hierarchy
- Thanks to user misthero there is now a nice default theme for the subgallery view!
What is still missing:
- Additional widgets for selecting the parent gallery (e.g. radio buttons presented in a collapsible tree)
- Eventually some integration with node gallery access would be desirable
- Advanced cover handler for gallery hierarchies, e.g. to allow covers of subgalleries for galleries that contain no images themselves
- Theming: I'm not a themer, I'm a programmer. If you can help, please contact me or open an issue in the queue!
- Do you have ideas for better widgets to select the parent?
- What additional functionality is required to work with gallery hierarchies?
