Maintenance status
This project has been dormant for some time and new installs and upgrades should seriously consider a more robust and actively-maintained grid-compatible base theme, like Omega.
Panels 960gs is a minimal base theme that combines the fantastic 960 Grid System and amazing Panels module.
HTML5 ready
Panels 960gs extends Boron, another minimal base theme which converts the core template files to HTML5 markup.
How To Install
- Install Boron
- Install Ctools and Panels
- Install & enable Panels 960gs
- Get yourself a nice admin theme like Rubik (you'll need its base theme Tao as well)
- Cleanup: Go to [yoursite.com]/admin/structure/block and disable all blocks in the Content region except "Main page content".
- Enjoy, and don't forget to report bugs or give feedback to better this theme.
