Plugins - jQuery plugin manager

I really feel the need for a solid, robust solution for jQuery plugin management within Drupal. This will hopefully end the large stream of misc plugin compilations that I keep seeing pop up in the feeds.
This is a prototype so the feature list will certainly grow.
Features
- Notification on status page when additional plugin(s) are required.
- Modules will provide the following to this module (open to adding additional params, they will most likely be needed):
- Machine name of the plugin to prevent collision
- URI to download
- Description of why your module needs the plugin, or a description of what the plugin provides.
- When viewing admin/build/plugins optional and required modules can be installed/removed.
- Uninstalled plugins are automatically removed, installed plugins are downloaded and unpackaged.
