Version 7.x-2.x of User Merge renders this module obsolete, as its functionality is provided by the main module. Upgrading to User Merge 2 is recommended.

This module hooks into User Merge to add support for updating user-reference information provided by the References module.

Upon user merging, the module checks for the existence of user-reference fields and replaces the relevant information in all relevant tables. For data consistency, also older node revisions are updated with the new information.

Please note that this module currently works only on user-reference fields provided by the References module, and only on nodes (not on other kinds of entities). Code contributions are welcome to expand this module's functionality to user-reference fields provided by other modules (e.g. Entity Reference) and to entities other than nodes.

This module was originally developed for the Mid-Atlantic Popular & American Culture Association.
