Allows CCK forms to be filled without required fields before publishing.
For example, if you have a long node creation form, with required fields for which the user may not have data available at the moment of node creation, they won't be able to submit the form at all until they have the required data. Required for Publishing solves that by allowing users to save a node even when certain (i.e. defined by the administrator) required fields are not filled. The node will then be maintained in an unpublished state until the user eventually fills out the required fields.
This is useful for very long forms, multistep forms, or registration forms, by allowing the user to continue filling out the form at a later time even when required fields are not filled in yet.
