Switches taxonomy terms from one vocabulary to another, and provides a "Classify" tab for editing nodes.
Looking for a new maintainer. I'm really sorry about this but I simply don't have the time to do any maintenance work at the moment, all the more so since my own site is still on D5 and likely to remain so for some time, until other modules have been upgraded to D6.

Have you ever come to the exasperating conclusion that one of your taxonomy terms was really put in the wrong vocabulary and you would like to move it into another one? And then realised that there is no way to do this without going deleting and recreating, then going through your site and reclassifying all the nodes attached to the term?

This is what the Taxonomy Switch module is about: it switches taxonomy terms from one vocabulary to another - simple as that.

It also offers you a new "Classify" tab in node view: if you want to reclassify a node without modifying its actual content, then using the "Classify" tab will allow you to do that - the advantage is that you don't get the performance hit (and the wait time) of loading the node content into the browser and then putting it back into the database.

Be sure to read the release notes when you install this module (readme file)

This module only works for Drupal 4.7 and Drupal 5.x.
