Trimmed Plaintext

This module has been replaced by Smart Trim

Supposedly it does the same thing, but I have not checked myself.

This is a simple module which extends the ability of the plaintext text filter, which allows it to be trimmed.

This is useful for when you want to use Views Node Listings in Teaser Mode. For me, the body of my nodes was HTML, but this didn't make sense for the teasers. It also didn't make sense to display the full plaintext, hence trimmed plaintext. This should really be in core IMHO.

Then you create a Teaser display type in content types display settings, and set this filter.

Put the code out there, as it might be useful for others.

This module will not be actively maintained. If you would like something fixed, I expect you to create, test and post a proper patch against the latest -dev.
