Views Bulk Operations Barcode Select allows you to selects items in a VBO display with a barcode scanner. The module adds a barcode field to VBO displays and selects matching records. Once selected, any VBO operation can be applied to the selected items. A warning will appear if an scanned barcode does not appear in the Views display.

Requirements:

  • The display must be VBO style.
  • The relevant barcode field must be selected in the VBO display style options.
  • The relevant barcode field must also be displayed in the results, which is where the matching happens.

Views Bulk Operations Barcode Select assumes you already have a barcode field on the items you're selecting. A simple text field should work fine, but you might also consider the Barcode module for creating barcode fields. If you're using this for tracking physical inventory, the MERCI project may be useful.
