This module allows Views to filter taxonomy terms by whether they are the top term in a hierarchy or not.
This is useful if need to create a hierarchical taxonomy view, as you can now define a top level view for terms with parent = 0. From there you can use a view with a term id as argument for views of child terms.
In addition, there is a boolean display field that can display whether a term is a top level term and you can sort terms by whether they are top level terms or not.
Installation
Enable the module, and clear your Views cache. You will get an extra 'Taxonomy: Top Level Term' field, sort option and filter.
Notes
This module works with Views 6.x-2.x.
