Drupal Newbie Here... I've been doing a lot of research on options for configuring multiple blogs. And have successfully been creating additional content types and views to look at two different groups of nodes that appear blog like. As well, I've found some half way things to sort of get done what I need, but I'm not sure it's best.
What I'm not sure I've found - in the many posts on similar topics - is the BEST way to do this. Nor have I quite figured out how each can have it's own Archives. Here's what I'm trying to do. (And what I think some others have tried to struggle with. If we can work out a best practice here, I think it might help a lot of folks.)
mysite.com/blog1
mysite.com/blog2
* Is best way to do the basics to simply skip the Blog module and set up two Content Types, "blog1" and "blog2" ?
- These blogs are meant to be separate by high level topic, not by user.
- Those users with editing privileges may be able to post to either blog. In a perfect world, clicking on the User Name would be scoped only to that blog. Though maybe it would be better to show all posts; if that User View could show which blog each post was from.
* Each blog would have it's own separate set of Categories.
Is the best way to do this with a Vocabulary which would get displayed in a Block within a View spec'd to each blog?
