How do I use Drupal with sub-websites?

I created subdomains (www.subdomainname.mydomainname.org) and thought I could just copy the drupal files from my main public folder into my sub-domain folder and edit them separately but they share themes and content across my main domain and subs.

Do I need to do a full drupal instal into each sub-domain folder? I want each sub-domain to be completely independent of each other.

Thanks,

Tom

dynamic join of several nodes into one view

I have thousands of nodes I created by importing from a mysql table and imported them into drupal as a "content type". Figured out how to use pathauto to take the title of those nodes and make a SEO friendly url to each node which I already have indexed on google from old site. But I have several other tables that join on my original table on certain fields. I imported one of them and created a new "content type" but I can't figure out how to join it to my original node that I imported. How can I pull all this info together?

Efficient way to create node views based on taxonomy terms in a user's content profile?

The underlying problem is that I want views that can show nodes filtered based on the choices users make in content taxonomy fields in their content profile when they register on the site, for instance, whether they are male or female. For example, I want a view for all the male viewpoints. I am not sure if I can create a view for nodes filtered on a term that is not in the node, but is in the content profile of the user. I am struggling on how to create an efficient view to do this without having to copy the terms from the content profile into each node's terms when the node is created. I would prefer to only have the taxonomy in the content profile field, and be able to create a view that shows all nodes created my males or females. Here are two options explained a little more:

Option 1:

500 error page with Undefined index errors - can't access my site. Help!

I was installing and activating some modules on my installation of Drupal 7, including Ubercart. I was in Modules and simply activating areas of Ubercart, including Taxes. After I saved, the page began loading very slowly and then a 500 error page appeared. I was able to get to my site homepage but not the Drupal console. would like to deactivate this module since I'm guessing I made a big mistake activating this when I haven't started developing any pages yet. Here are the specific error messages appearing:

structure/method of menu with categories

Hello everyone. this is my very first time to use Drupal and after having tried for hours to create the logical structure of the menu I now ask for your help. I'm trying to create a menu grouped by categories where each category has an image but no link.

Here is a link to understand what I would like to achieve: http://pang.it/drupal/20120826.html.

Can this be done with Drupal and in that case how should I go about it?

Thank you on beforehand
