With the recent announcements about Drupal Starshot, I'm curious about the community's thoughts, especially from fellow site builders. The promise of a more opinionated, out-of-the-box experience could be a game-changer for onboarding new users and competing with other CMS platforms.
What existing distributions or installation profiles do you think Starshot should learn from?
Which "batteries-included" features (e.g., layout builder, media library, workflows) are most critical to include by default?
I apologize for posting in the general thread, as I wasn’t sure what the appropriate category for this issue would be. I’m very new to Drupal, and this is my first Drupal website, so I’m not sure where the problem lies. I haven’t encountered this issue before when working with WordPress.
Preface: I'm not much of a developer and more of a Designer. I haven't been working in Drupal lately since they made Composer mandatory since it just didn't work with my Godaddy account ( they didn't offer the necessary PHPmyAdmin or PHP version required nor did they offer composer) so I've been working in other CMS platforms like dotnetnuke and Wordpress. Problem is, I really don't like those platforms and love the Drupal platform. When I heard that Drupal was coming out with Drupal CMS I was excited and redesigned my sites with it.
I'm exploring different ways to validate a product idea and keep coming across two common approaches: building a minimum viable product (MVP) app or using a no-code platform. While both options seem useful in the early stages, I'm trying to understand how they differ in real-world applications.
