Customizing the display of thread members

Members of a private message thread are connected to the thread through the use of an unlimited value entity reference field to users. The display of this field can be adjusted  at Admin -> Structure -> Private Message -> Private Message Thread Settings -> Manage Display tab (admin/structure/private-message/private-message-thread/display). Note that this tab will only be available if the Field UI module is installed.

A custom field formatter, 'Private Message Thread Members' is provided with the following options:

• Display Type:
  • Label - lists member's names, linked to their profile if the viewing user has permission to view user profiles
  • Entity - displays members as entities
    • View Mode - The view mode to be used to display the member.

A custom view mode, 'Private Message Author' is provided by the module, and can be configured at Admin -> Configuration -> People -> Account Settings -> Display tab -> Private Message Author secondary tab (admin/config/people/accounts/display/private_message_author). Note that this tab will only appear if the Field UI module is enabled.
