Training
drupal is a framework that can be intimidating without a mentor showing you around. My style is to elucidate the context when I am demonstrating how to do things in drupal, so that the trainee gets a good sense of how to understand the framework, find answers for themselves, while also learning specific tasks.
I have worked with folks from a variety of backgrounds and skill levels, all of whom are now functioning as site maintainers for their own websites.
Drupal contributions
I have worked on the CDI Platform (an enterprise level set of modules that work together to form a social networking platform). I have also created a number of modules working with 'developer' modules such as mailedit.
