Users can toggle the descriptions under "Configuration". This also hides the descriptions in other areas like "Structure", but there is no toggle link to show the descriptions again.

This made it to 7.0. I think only Structure and Reports are affected, thus require the link.

This is a simple patch to add "show/hide" link. It may be confusing for users, i.e. at some point I spent few hours on thinking why admin interface at two of my local installations differs... In this patch I simply copied two lines from theme_system_admin_index.

Subscribe. +1 to the idea. Code looks simple and logical enough, but I haven't reviewed it thoroughly enough to know if there are unwanted side effects.

Not sure if I'm in the right place...I came across the option to hide role and module descriptions on the admin pages and I checked it. Later I wanted to uncheck and I couldn't find where I had checked it. On my dev site I happened across it and unchecked and didn't write down where it was. Now I want to uncheck on my prod site and can't find it anywhere. Is this what you're referring to? If not, can anyone tell me where I'd find those checkboxes? It's driving me crazy! Thanks!
