I think this selector -> ul.links.inline in system.menu.css at line 48 has no used and actually there are no effect because it has missing space between the word links and inline . AFAIK it has to be

ul.inline,
ul.links {
  display: inline;
  padding-left: 0;
}

or must be

ul.inline,
ul.links,
.inline {
  display: inline;
  padding-left: 0;
}

After I compared system.menu.css in D6 and D7, I noticed that ul.links was removed in system.menu.css in D7.

Why ship it with D7 release if this has no use, much better to clean and removed this extra CSS selector.

I attached a patch that removed that CSS selector.
