The title says it all... let the user specify which View should be used upon display, just like we do for the shopping cart contents checkout pane. You can find an example of establishing display formatter settings in the Cart module as well.

I would like to revive this request. I would like to create an order view with the line items but with no pricing. The link in #2 is broken. Not sure if there was a solution originally posted or not.

I'm not exactly sure what you're saying, but this issue itself is long since resolved. So long ago the GitHub repo I pulled the fix from is no longer available. ; )
