Nikdilis commented??? I don't understand what you mean, sorry. Can you explain a little bit more detailed? Thank you.

montesq commented@Nikdilis:
1° Please, use 1 issue for 1 problem, otherwise it becomes a mess..
2° For the forgot password, I think this the same as #550254: Menu links are sometimes not properly re-parented. Indeed, when you create the link and put the link as child of login + save and then edit again the link, you can see in the form that the parent link has changed to "navigation" instead of staying "login"...
3° For the issue in the title, I can't reproduce, please give us the steps to clarify and reproduce

Nikdilis commented@ #3 3°:
Have a first menu: Navigation and a second menu: User menu with 'My account' enabled. Save.
Klick on the 'My Account' in the User menu. Now the 'My account' register appears also in the Navigation bar as the pictures in post #1 document it.

montesq commentedDon't take care my previous tries, I forgot to read comments in the code...
1° To reproduce:
- on a fresh install in ?q=admin/structure/menu/settings set "navigation" as the source of main links
- go to ?q=user
=> "my account" is displayed in the main links (with garland theme)
2° In the implementation of hook_menu (in user.module), I can see that the path user/%user is linked to the navigation menu.
The work around was introduced in #925778: User edit title is broken (so is beta1-beta2 upgrade path) for these reasons:
We could assign user/%user to a "fake" menu, but it would be a very dirty fixed! I'm investigating on the function that generates $main-links, but not sure that my noob level would success finding something appropriate.
Advices are welcome...

Nikdilis commentedLet's change this to Component 'Menu System'.
sunI may be mistaken, but this sounds like a duplicate of #1564388: "My account" link is never in the active trail
