tr commentedYou can do this by theming your product kit template node--product-kit.tpl.php.
thatoneguy commentedIs there an example somewhere?
tr commentedStart with the Documentation link at the top of this page - there's a huge amount of information about how to theme nodes. This material is also in pretty much every book about Drupal. There's nothing Ubercart-specific about this task.
longwaveThis seems to be a bug. The attached patch makes the product kit body show up with no theming required.

tr commentedNot a bug, it was by design - this is how product kits have always worked and currently work in D6. Individual product images aren't shown either, by design. Other product information like SKU, taxonomy terms, and product CCK fields are also not shown. The individual products in the kit are instead displayed as links to allow the customer to drill down for more details. Other sites, like Newegg* for example, do it the same way. I'm not against changing this, but be aware this will change behavior for sites which upgrade from D6 to D7. Perhaps a better strategy would be to put some checkboxes on the product kit edit page to allow the store owner to choose which product fields should be displayed on the product kit view page. It seems to me that including the full body text is something most users would *not* want. Maybe the teaser, but not the full body.
Reopening to discuss this.
*(Newegg is one of the few sites I know of that has functionality similar to an Ubercart product kit. Click on one of the "Combo deals" they list at http://www.newegg.com/Special/Combo.aspx?name=Combo-Deals to see how they present the individual products on the combo page ...)

thatoneguy commentedRe points made in #6, the patch does not counter this. It fixes the fact that the body of the product kit node itself was not rendered. I did take a queue from here to include needed product details.
The patch does, indeed, solve the original problem. Thank you, longwave.
longwave@TR: indeed, my commit fixed the description field on the product kit node itself, and did not add anything about the descriptions of the individual products.
tr commentedI guess I misunderstood the question - I was under the impression that the OP wanted to display the individual product descriptions.
