I have configured my installation of Drupal in French and product breadcrumb no longer works in my catalog.

I have found an issue in uc_catalog_node_view hook. This function uses $node->language to retrieve taxonomy_catalog value. The field is not installed with translatable option and taxonomy_catalog is always under the und key independently of language node.

Can a site builder make the taxonomy translatable, though? Should we be handling both cases somehow?

I do not think we can make a translatable fields from the UI. We can make taxonomy translatable by adding 'translatable' => TRUE in taxonomy_catalog field Install.

See: http://api.scratch.drupal.org/api/drupal/modules--field--field.multiling...

I thought I posted a comment here earlier - I'm puzzled that I don't see it.

Anyway, I wanted to say that I think the fix should be to make taxonomy_catalog a translatable field rather than hardwiring in LANGUAGE_NONE. I don't know why we wouldn't allow the catalog vocabulary to be translated...

The other thing I thought I had said was the testbot still doesn't work properly for contributed modules with dependencies, so don't worry too much about the above failure.

Title: Catalog breadcrumb does not work when multilingual features are enabled » Make taxonomy_catalog a translatable field

Retitling issue.

The initial issue here has been solved by using field_get_items() which handles translated fields for us.

We should still decide whether taxonomy_catalog should be translatable or not; I guess it should, but until we receive some comments I think I'll leave this code alone for now.

Hi, I need to make a multillingual (2 languages) product catalog. I managed to get this work work on D6 as described in #951760: Translate Catalog block. I am not sure if this is the right issue to post this, but if not can you please point me to the right direction as I am struggling to get this to work on D7 for a few days now...

I have set the Catalog taxonomy to "Localize. Terms are common for all languages, but their name and description may be localized" and I have translated the terms.

Some of the issues I have are:
- The terms in the catalog block are shown as untranslated, how can these be displayed in the correct language?
- When in a cateogory, the Title in the uc_catalog view is displayed as the untranslated name of the taxonomy term used for the category. How can this be displayed in the correct language?
- The untranslated taxonomy terms are shown in the breadcrumb. How can we show the transated terms in the breadcrumb?

I would really appreciate some help with this as I need the catalog to be translated properly and I am really struggling with this at the moment. Thank you very much.

Any comments/suggestions on my questions in #12 would be great, thank you very much!
