Attached is a patch where this functionality is implemented.

Notes:
- If both the "Hyperlink author names" and "Hyperlink author names to author profile page" are checked off, the first box (Hyperlink author names) takes precedence.
- This implementation links the author names to the profile of the user that is linked with the author. If no linkage is provided under the author's settings, no link is created.

Hello everyone, the option "Hyperlink author to profile page" isnt working for me. All the patch does, is deleting the authors which he should (if the option is checked). Im using the version: 7.x-1.0-rc7. I also opened a thread under the following link: https://drupal.org/node/2133223
