I am trying to add meta descriptions to some of my pages and they do not show up in the html anywhere once I do. My site is not configured to use caching, but I have cleared the cache anyway. The product seems pretty straightforward but I have to assume I am doing something wrong since I'm not finding anyone else with the same issue. Can you help? Let me know what you need from me. I really need to take control of my meta tags as soon as possible.

Thanks a bunch.

HyperGlide CreditAttribution: HyperGlide commentedTo confirm - if you goto a node edit/creation pages do you see the meta tag fields there to enter the values you want rendered in the HTML markup?

I saved the updated page but the meta description tag does not appear in the html markup on the page anywhere. I can go back in to edit the page, and the content is still there. It doesn't make sense and it's driving me mad. I also have tried from a different machine on a completely different network and ISP with the same results. I have cleared the drupal cache and even disabled page caching to no avail. I really don't know what else to try. I'm close to writing some php in the page templates to get my meta tags in there for each page, but I would really rather have the ability provided with this module.

HyperGlide CreditAttribution: HyperGlide commentedI can only offer some other steps at this point to try to isolate the problem:
1 - Can you create a new cor site and just add the Meta-Tags Quick module. Then see if it works. (Determine is server related / DB)
2 - Try to create a brand new content type on your existing site.
3 - Have you tried a different theme? I am not certain how the module interacts with the rendering but perhaps just try a core theme.
4 - Check your log files if possible to see if any errors are noted.
Hope this helps, running out of other suggestions.

valthebaldJust a wild guess - do you use display suite?

funex CreditAttribution: funex commentedHi,
I'm having the same problem. Meta Tag fields can be edited on Node edit page but they are not displaying in the head on the page itself.. I'm using 7.x-2.0.
I'm using panels pages to display content.
Thanks!

mcdoolz CreditAttribution: mcdoolz commentedI'm experiencing this issue with a near core site using current dev (2011-Oct-12) using path based metas.
I enter the keywords and description, refresh, clear caches, remove and repeat, and nothing shows up.
Works fine under nodes.
The site has webforms, smtp auth, pathauto, and token installed.

joecanti CreditAttribution: joecanti commentedHi,
I had a similar problem to this - couldn't get the meta tags to show up in the html even on a base theme - so I created a new content type and some new content, and everything worked as expected - everything is fine!
But I still have lots of old content I would like to add the meta stuff too - I will add a new issue detailing just this.
Thanks, Joe
